We were so impressed by our RV trip to Alaska in the summer of 2008 that we were thrilled at the prospect of going again. This time we will be part of the staff of the RV caravan that we went with last time. We will be Tail Gunners. That means we travel at the end of the caravan and help out with numerous details of the trip.
The biggest responsibility we have is to park all the RV's on the caravan into their respective spaces when we arrive at all the different RV parks where we will be staying during this trip.
Also, since RV'ers tend to come with numerous dogs, it is my job to walk them when the "dog parents" are off on lengthy side trips where dogs are not invited. There are many other jobs as well, but those are the main ones.
Summer in Sunriver is gorgeous and we hate to be gone during this season of year, however, another trip to Alaska (at the Caravan Owner's expense) is just too much to turn down. Also, we will be in Alaska at a different time of the year than our last trip, so we are looking forward to seeing it in a different color scheme.
So now the RV is packed, maps are laid out, and we are ready to roll.
Alaska, here we come...again!!
